Installation Notes

Always install new lifters with flat tappet camshafts.

Proper break-in is critical:

• Apply moly camshaft assembly lube

• Run engine at 2,000–2,500 RPM for 20–30 minutes

• Use high-zinc break-in oil

• Degree the camshaft during installation for maximum accuracy

Baseline ignition timing typically starts around 12–16° BTDC.
