💥 Overview
The Vortex 226/234 Undercover is a stealth-style hydraulic roller profile built for SBC street/strip engines that need an aggressive midrange punch, a strong torque curve, and a lopey street idle — all while maintaining the drivability required for real street use.
With 226°/234° @ .050" and modern roller lobe geometry, this cam dramatically improves cylinder fill and exhaust scavenging, waking up 350s, 383 strokers, 327 hot rods, and even performance-built 305/307 engines. The split-duration design targets the exhaust-biased flow characteristics of typical Small Block Chevy heads, improving torque and high-RPM breathing.
Available in 108°, 110°, and 112° LSA, the Undercover can be tailored for hard street lope, balanced street/strip manners, or smooth EFI-friendly operation. Its 2000–6400 RPM powerband and broad torque spread make it an exceptional choice for naturally aspirated or mild power-adder builds running pump gas.
If you want real SBC street power with a controlled, aggressive idle — this is it.
