The Redline Cams Vortex 227 MidLope is designed for LS builders who want serious street performance, aggressive cammed idle, and strong top-end horsepower without sacrificing real drivability.
Built around a balanced 227° / 227° duration @ .050", the MidLope profile produces a distinct lopey idle, powerful midrange acceleration, and excellent high-RPM breathing. This cam bridges the gap between mild street cams and race-style grinds, making it ideal for performance LS builds that still see regular street use.
With multiple LSA options from 107°â112°, the Vortex 227 MidLope allows builders to tailor the engineâs personality â from tight, choppy idle and explosive midrange torque to a broader powerband with smoother street manners.
Expect the engine to come alive around 2,400 RPM and pull hard to approximately 6,600 RPM, depending on engine combination.
