Installation Notes
This kit includes new hydraulic flat tappet lifters, ensuring proper camshaft break-in and long-term reliability.
Proper break-in is critical for flat tappet camshafts:
• Apply moly camshaft assembly lube to lobes and lifter faces
• Use high-zinc ZDDP break-in oil
• Run engine at 2,000–2,500 RPM for 20–30 minutes during break-in
• Verify valve spring pressures are compatible with .550” lift
Degreeing the camshaft during installation is strongly recommended for maximum performance.
