The Redline Cams Vortex 205 Torquer for the Jeep 4.0L inline-6 was designed for builders who want stronger low-end torque, smoother throttle response, and improved drivability without sacrificing reliability. This profile works exceptionally well in daily-driven XJ Cherokees, TJ Wranglers, MJ Comanches, and trail rigs that need usable power where it matters most.
Unlike oversized “race” grinds that kill vacuum and soften bottom-end response, the Vortex 205 Torquer keeps the powerband broad and usable while still adding a deeper idle tone and noticeably stronger midrange pull. This is the ideal camshaft for heavier Jeeps, towing setups, off-road crawlers, and street-driven 4.0 builds looking for more punch without giving up drivability.
Built around a wide 114° LSA, this profile maintains excellent vacuum signal, stable idle quality, and EFI friendliness while improving cylinder fill throughout the usable RPM range.
